Jonathan Phillips is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Utah State University. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University (2008), an MS from the same institution (2004), and a BS from Brigham Young University (2000).
His research focuses on algorithm acceleration, software-to-hardware conversion, and real-time artificial intelligence applications. Key interests include embedded systems, FPGA design, and microcontroller architectures.
Dr. Phillips has received multiple teaching awards including the Outstanding Teacher of the Year award three times from the USU ECE Department (2018, 2021, 2023).
