Dr. Jonathan Opie is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Adelaide's School of Humanities within the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Adelaide and completed an ARC Postdoctoral Fellowship. His research focuses on philosophy of mind, cognitive science, and philosophy of science, with involvement in the McDonnell Project in Philosophy and the Neurosciences. He previously led an ARC Discovery Project (2008–2011) exploring cognitive biology, details of which are available on the project website.
