Dr. Jonathan Ngeh is a Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Bamenda and a postdoc researcher. He holds a PhD in Sociology from Umeå University, Sweden, where his dissertation analyzed challenges faced by African migrants in Sweden. His current research examines African migrants' experiences in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), focusing on migration regimes and citizenship through autoethnographic and intersectionality approaches.
He collaborates with Prof. Dr. Michaela Pelican on a project investigating trafficking from Cameroon to Arab Gulf States. His work bridges migration studies, cultural anthropology, and social inequality, comparing policies in progressive and restrictive migration regimes.
