He specializes in systems pharmacology, with a focus on drug effects in complex biological systems like the heart and kidneys. His expertise spans veterinary pharmacology/toxicology, organoid modeling, and translational research. He holds advanced degrees in pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and applied mathematical modeling.
- Education: MS in Pharmacology, MS in Pharmacokinetics, PhD in Applied Mathematical Modeling.
- Affiliations: Precision One Health Initiative, SMART Pharmacology Lab.
His research emphasizes organoid-based models for drug development, leveraging spontaneous canine and avian disease models. He has authored over 150 publications and secured $16M in research grants. Awards include the American Academy of Veterinary Pharmacology Research Award (2022) and recognition as a World’s Top 2% Scientist (2024).
- Grants: $16M+ as PI/co-PI over 7 years.
- Societies: President of the Animal Health Modeling and Simulation Society, European Association of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology.
Key projects include renal-cardiac drug modeling, avian influenza organoids, and canine bladder cancer organoids. His labs advance One Health translational medicine, bridging animal and human health challenges.
