Jonathan Mason is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Radio, Television & Film Department at Rowan University's Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts. Prior to academia, he held leadership roles including Head of Market Studies and Distributor Relations at The French Film Office NY (Unifrance USA), Creative Director at Belladonna Productions, and co-founder of Bullet Pictures. Currently, he is a partner at Bráulio Mantovani’s Son of a Gun Picture Company, focusing on global film and television projects.
He holds a B.A. from the University of Miami and an M.F.A. from Columbia University.
His research interests span screenwriting, directing techniques, film production methodologies, cinematography innovations, post-production workflows, virtual production technologies, and broader film studies analysis. His professional collaborations with industry entities like Sundance Institute and Epic Games reflect his engagement with cutting-edge creative and technical practices in the global film market.
