Jonathan Ketcham is the Earl G. and Gladys C. Davis Distinguished Research Professor in Business at the W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, holding a joint appointment in the Department of Economics. His research focuses on econometric analyses of health care markets, particularly consumer and physician decision-making in contexts like Medicare Part D and pharmaceutical utilization. He has collaborated with organizations such as Pfizer Inc., Banner Health, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Dr. Ketcham earned a B.A. in Economics from Baylor University (1997) and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (2002). He was a Robert Wood Johnson Scholar in Health Policy Research at UC Berkeley. His work has been recognized with awards including the NIHCM Foundation’s Health Care Research Award and the John D. Thompson Prize for Young Investigators.
His research spans topics such as air pollution’s impact on dementia, Medicare Part D plan choices, and the effects of Medicaid policies. He has held federal R01 grants and published in prestigious journals like the American Economic Review and Journal of Econometrics.
