Jonathan Gilmore is a Professor of Philosophy and Executive Officer (Chair) at The Graduate Center, CUNY. He is affiliated with Baruch College and co-edits the Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism. His research spans the philosophy of art, emotions, imagination, and law, with notable contributions in cognitive science and twentieth-century European philosophy. Gilmore has held prestigious fellowships, including a National Endowment for the Humanities grant (2013-2014) and Mellon/Whiting awards.
