Jonathan Friedman, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Pediatric Radiology Division. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Business Foundations at the University of Texas at Austin, earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, and completed his radiology residency and fellowships in neuroradiology and pediatric radiology at UT Southwestern. His research focuses on mitochondrial biology, cellular migration, and ER-mitochondrial interactions, with recent work exploring mitophagy mechanisms and organelle crosstalk.
Dr. Friedman is deeply committed to service, leading initiatives like the Radiology Department's Global Health Initiative providing teleradiology services to Haiti. He has volunteered with Camp Dream Street, Kingsley House, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
