Professor Jonathan Finley is Chair of Semiconductor Nanostructures and Quantum Systems at the Walter Schottky Institute, part of the Technical University of Munich's School of Natural Sciences. His research group explores the fundamental physics of nanostructured materials and their quantum-electronic and photonic properties, with applications spanning quantum technologies, information processing, and energy science.
Finley's research interests focus on understanding key fundamental processes in semiconductor-based nanomaterials and heterointerfaces. His group investigates and controls quantum mechanical, optical, and quantum optical phenomena using laser spectroscopy.
