Jonathan Davies is a British bassoonist and Professor of Bassoon at the Royal Academy of Music. He has held the position of Principal Bassoon with the London Philharmonic Orchestra since 2016 and previously with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. As a soloist, he has performed notable works such as Oliver Knussen's 'Study for Metamorphosis' at the BBC Proms and Anna Meredith's 'Axeman' with the London Sinfonietta. His recordings include Mozart's Bassoon Concerto, Poulenc's Trio, and Dutilleux's 'Sarabande et Cortege'.
