Jonathan D. Mahnken is a Professor of Biostatistics & Data Science at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He serves as Director of the Data Management and Statistical Core for the University of Kansas Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center since 2011 and co-lead for the Research Methods Core for Frontiers, the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, since 2020. With over 100 publications, his work focuses on biostatistical methods applied to biomedical research, particularly in Alzheimer's disease and related conditions.
His educational background includes:
- PhD in Biometry from the University of Texas Health Science Center
- MS in Preventive Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch
- BA in Mathematics from Concordia University, Seward
Dr. Mahnken's research expertise centers on advanced statistical methods for biomedical data, including study design, analysis of categorical and censored data, and complex model parameterizations. He provides comprehensive guidance on data management, interpretation of results, and manuscript development.
