Dinesh Pal Mudaranthakam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics & Data Science at the University of Kansas Medical Center, School of Medicine. He also serves as Director of Research Information Technology and co-Director of the Biostatistics and Informatics Shared Resource at the KU Cancer Center. His work focuses on improving healthcare resource navigation for cancer and Alzheimer’s patients using AI-driven solutions and data analytics.
Education: PhD in Health Policy & Management from KUMC, MBA from University of Kansas, MS in Computer Science from Kansas State University, and Computer Science studies at Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University.
Research interests include population health, epidemiology, electronic health records, clinical trial optimization, and informatics system integration. He leads initiatives like the Cancer Curated Clinical Outcomes Database (C3OD) and Generalized Research Integration Platform (GRIP), enhancing clinical trial efficiency and patient outcomes.
Recent work addresses financial toxicity in cancer care, rural/racial healthcare disparities, and AI applications in resource allocation. He has secured grant funding as Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator (Co-I) for projects including ONCO-NET and the NCI Community Oncology Research Program.
His team develops FDA-compliant clinical research systems and informatics tools to streamline data processes across multi-center trials. Notable collaborations include the University of Kansas Alzheimer's Disease Core Centers and the Rural Health Center’s Data and Informatics Committee.
