Jonathan Corley

Jonathan Corley is an Associate Professor in the Computing and Mathematics Department at the University of West Georgia, part of the Perry College of Mathematics, Computing, and Sciences. He teaches courses in introductory programming and software engineering, emphasizing instructional excellence and outreach. He serves on the Mason Creek Elementary School STEM Advisory committee.

Research & Interests:

• Software Engineering, particularly Debugging for Model Transformations.
• Computer Science Education, including curriculum development for CS Principles and teacher professional development.
• Outreach initiatives in K-12 schools and international teacher training.

• Funded by NSF Grant CE21 for curriculum development and teacher workshops.
• Recipient of the GAANN Fellowship (Department of Education).
• NSF Text-to-Art grant for CS2 course development and outreach.

Teaching & Advising:

• Teaches courses ranging from introductory programming (CS-1301/1302) to advanced software engineering (CS-3211/3212) and capstone projects (CS-4982).
• Guides Computing Internships (CS-4986/COMP-4986) and oversees DevOps (COMP-4420) and collaborative web development.
