Jonathan Cahill is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Alpert Medical School, Brown University, and a staff neurologist at Rhode Island Hospital in its Multiple Sclerosis Center. He directs the neurology residency program at Brown and serves as associate director of the MS fellowship program at Rhode Island Hospital.

Dr. Cahill's research focuses on multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology, with particular emphasis on clinical trials, disease monitoring, and MS therapeutic complications. He has led publications on neurological sequelae of diseases, small fiber neuropathy in MS, and cardiomyopathy presentations of MS relapses.
His recent publications (2021-2022) show a strong focus on COVID-19 neurological impacts in MS patients, while earlier works explore tremor analysis, fatigue-apathy correlations, and hippocampal function. Collaborative work with Ana Abrantes and others highlights interdisciplinary approaches to MS research.
