Dr. Bezdegian's research centers on French Romantic and Symphonic organ repertoire with deep specialization in Louis Vierne's works, particularly his 24 Pièces de Fantaisie and modal techniques. His scholarship examines the Paris Conservatory's influence and Aristide Cavaillé-Coll's organ designs, restoration history, and acoustic properties. As an educator, he emphasizes musical interpretation as a transformative process that cultivates discipline, focus, and maturity—core values for Liberal Arts education.
His 2021-2022 publications reveal dual scholarly trajectories: rigorous musicological analysis of Vierne's modal structures and practical career development guidance for musicians. The works demonstrate interdisciplinary connections between historical organology, performance practice, and professional transition strategies within the music industry.
Dr. Bezdegian actively shapes campus life through Orthodox Christian Fellowship mentorship, rowing team chaplaincy, and SEARCH retreat coordination. His leadership in the Worcester Chapter of the American Guild of Organists further extends his influence into regional musical communities.
