معرفی
Professor Peter Jonas is a leading neuroscientist at IST Austria, specializing in synaptic transmission mechanisms and their role in neural circuits. He holds the Magdalena Walz Professorship for Life Sciences and leads the Jonas Group, focusing on nanophysiological studies of synapses using advanced techniques like optogenetics and flash-and-freeze electron microscopy. His research bridges biophysical mechanisms with network functions in the hippocampus and cortex.
