Jonas Frey

Jonas Frey is an Assistant Professor in Finance at the Department of Economics, University of Gothenburg. Previously, he served as a Research Associate at the Professorship for Economics, especially Behavioral and Digital Economics, at the University of Münster. His research focuses on empirical asset pricing, behavioral finance, and experimental finance.

His work includes the 2024 publication in the International Economic Review on dynamic salience models in decision-making, alongside ongoing working papers exploring mispricing in stock return predictors and strategic behavior in market experiments. His research integrates behavioral economics and finance to analyze market anomalies and investor decision-making.

At University of Gothenburg, Frey teaches courses such as Advanced Behavioral Economics and seminars on non-rational expectations. He has also conducted workshops on economic experiments using oTree.

Jonas Frey's collaborations include Prof. Markus Dertwinkel-Kalt, Prof. Axel Ockenfels, and Prof. Martin Schmalz, reflecting interdisciplinary work across behavioral economics, finance, and experimental design.
