Jonas Everaert is an Associate Professor at Tilburg University within the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences (TSB), Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology. His research focuses on understanding psychopathology mechanisms, particularly depression and anxiety, through the integration of cognitive, emotional, and social processes. He holds an honorary research fellowship at King's College London and has previously conducted postdoctoral research at Yale University, KU Leuven, and Ghent University. He earned his PhD in Psychology from Ghent University in 2015.
Research Interests: Cognitive biases (attention, interpretation, memory), emotion regulation, social cognition, and clinical interventions for mood disorders. His work emphasizes the interplay between biased information processing and mental health outcomes.
