JonLuc Christensen serves as a Lecturer at San José State University's School of Information while working full-time as the JPL Records Manager, Manager for the Records & Archives Management Group, the Lead Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Liaison, and an Information/Configuration Management Engineer at NASA and Caltech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Christensen specializes in digitization, digital assets management, knowledge capture and management, user experience design, policy, strategic planning, and legal/ethical implications of information systems. His research focuses on records management in both analog and electronic formats, with particular interest in the intersection of information policy, intellectual freedom, and archival practices. He is passionate about helping individuals and groups manage their information and facilitating impactful change for a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable world through information practices.
His publications reveal a consistent focus on the evolving landscape of records and information management, particularly how professionals can develop future-forward skills and build effective electronic records management ecosystems. His work bridges theoretical knowledge with practical implementation in government and institutional settings.

At JPL, he provides project management and administrative support to the JPL Archives while leading several committees related to Records & Archives Integration, Diversity & Inclusion, Enterprise Content Management, and Marking & Handling.
