Jon Reiersen

Jon Reiersen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Business, History and Social Sciences within the University of Southeast Norway School of Business. His work spans macroeconomics, applied economics, and behavioral economics with a focus on income distribution, wage formation, and welfare systems. He has extensively researched political economy, norms, collective action, and rationality in economic contexts.

Research interests include trust dynamics in economic systems, the intersection of social norms and rationality, and the impact of income equality on public health. His recent work examines pandemic responses, essential worker compensation, and the sustainability of Nordic economic models.

Article trends reflect a consistent focus on trust as both a facilitator and risk factor in economic interactions, the evolution of cooperation in labor markets, and the societal implications of income inequality.
