Dr. Jon Miles is an Associate Professor in Coastal Engineering at the University of Plymouth's School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics. With approximately 25 years of experience, his research focuses on coastal processes, hydrodynamics, sediment transport dynamics, and marine renewables. Key areas include marine bedform dynamics, wave-shape effects on sediment transport, rip current sediment transport, swash zone dynamics, seawall interactions, and tidal/wave energy technologies.
