Jon Midwood is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Biology at Carleton University, affiliated with the Faculty of Science. His research focuses on applied ecology, particularly using acoustic telemetry to study freshwater fish movements, habitat use, and the impacts of invasive species (e.g., goldfish) and climate change on aquatic ecosystems. He collaborates closely with Fisheries and Oceans Canada and supports recovery efforts in Great Lakes Areas of Concern. His work also addresses refining field sampling protocols and understanding habitat changes under future climate scenarios.
Education: B.Sc. and Ph.D. from McMaster University. Office located at the Canadian Centre for Inland Waters in Burlington, ON. Contact via email or phone: 905-336-4842.
