Jon Gibson

Jon Gibson is a Research Fellow in the Health organisation, policy and economics (HOPE) group within the Centre for Primary Care and Health Services Research at the University of Manchester, specializing in Population Health and Health Services Research.

His recent publications demonstrate expertise spanning workforce studies, health economics, and policy evaluation, with significant focus on community pharmacy quality schemes, deprivation effects on GP working conditions, and patient perceptions of care continuity.

Gibson collaborates extensively with leading researchers including Professor Matt Sutton, Professor Stephen Birch, and Professor Kath Checkland. His doctoral research on economic evaluation of arsenic contamination in Cambodian water supplies received notable academic attention.
