Jon Calame is a Part-Time Lecturer of Art History at the University of Southern Maine. His research focuses on architectural history, historic preservation, and post-war reconstruction of historic cities. He holds an MS in Historic Preservation from Columbia University and a BA in Art History from Yale University.
His work has been supported by prestigious fellowships including the American Academy in Rome, Fulbright Senior Scholar Program, and MacArthur Foundation Research and Writing Program. In 2009, he co-authored a seminal book analyzing ethnically partitioned cities, contributing to debates on urban conflict and preservation.
