Jolinda Pollock is the Microbiology Team Leader at the SRUC Veterinary Services, part of Scotland's Rural College (SRUC). Her primary role involves leading a diagnostic team providing comprehensive veterinary services for livestock, companion animals, and wildlife, while actively conducting research focused on veterinary bacterial and fungal pathogens. She holds a PhD in Gut Microbiota Dynamics from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies and Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh, and a BSc in Infectious Diseases from the University of Edinburgh.
Research Interests: Veterinary bacteriology and mycology, farm animal disease surveillance, antimicrobial resistance, and farm animal microbiomes. Her work emphasizes phenotypic/genotypic analyses of bacterial isolates, epidemiology, and zoonotic potential.
