Jolel Miah

Jolel Miah is a Health Psychologist and academic at the University of Westminster, where he teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Health Psychology. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS). His work emphasizes inclusivity, student development, and the application of psychology to community and public health.

His research focuses on psychosocial factors influencing physical activity behaviors—such as motivation, emotion, and social context—and how these affect engagement, adherence, and long-term maintenance. He also investigates the social, cultural, and psychological barriers affecting public access to and navigation of healthcare systems.
