Professor Joice Chang is affiliated with the Department of Politics at California Polytechnic State University, Humboldt. She holds a joint Ph.D. in Public Policy and Political Science from Indiana University, a J.D. from The Ohio State University, and a B.S. from UC Berkeley. Her research focuses on law, policy, environmental governance, and interdisciplinary methodologies such as R-based data analysis.
Her current research projects include examining the efficacy of environmental voluntary programs, analyzing coal ash regulations, and collaborating on studies linking pollen taxa to historical land-use patterns (with Dr. Chelsea Teale). She has contributed to forthcoming publications in Environmental Politics and Vegetation History and Archaeobotany.
