Johnny Symons is a Professor and M.F.A. Coordinator at the School of Cinema, San Francisco State University. He specializes in LGBTQ documentaries, with notable films including Daddy & Papa (Sundance premiere, 12 festival awards), Out Run, Ask Not, Assembly, and Get Your 10s. He is also a co-producer of the Academy Award-nominated Long Night’s Journey Into Day and executive producer of Pray Away (Netflix).
