معرفی
Professor John Tregoning is a leading academic in vaccine immunology at the Department of Infectious Disease, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London. He develops in vivo and in vitro models to study immune responses to vaccines targeting respiratory pathogens like RSV, influenza, and antibiotic-resistant bacteria. His lab focuses on Acinetobacter baumannii vaccine development, supported by the Bactivac funding initiative. Beyond technical research, he bridges science and history through popular science books Infectious and Live Forever?, exploring intersections between immunology and historical narratives.
His research spans vaccine technology optimization, including RNA vaccines and outer membrane vesicles, with emphasis on delivery systems and immune response modulation. Collaborations extend to biotech companies for pre-clinical assessments and creative partners like Dr Alanna Skuse for interdisciplinary outreach.
