John T Popiel is a Research Fellow and Doctoral Candidate at Wayne State University's Department of History, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on labor history, Black labor movements, Detroit's historical context, radicalism, and medical history. He has taught courses including 'History of the Headlines: United States Since World War II' and 'History of Detroit'.
