John Stevenson is a Professor of English at the University of Colorado Boulder, serving as a faculty member since 1982. He has held significant administrative roles, including Chair of the English Department (1996–2004), Interim Director of the Program for Writing and Rhetoric (2001–02), Associate Vice Chancellor for Graduate Education (2005), and Dean of the Graduate School (2009–2016). Currently, he serves as Director of the PWR since 2022.
