Guy Stevenson

Guy Stevenson is a Lecturer in the Department of English and Creative Writing at Goldsmiths, University of London. He specializes in literary modernism, the 1960s counterculture, and their cultural-political legacies. His research explores the political dimensions of 20th-century cultural movements, focusing on race, gender, and sexuality. Stevenson earned his PhD from Goldsmiths (2015), an MA from University College London (2008), and a BA from the University of Bristol (2006).

He examines how these movements shaped contemporary debates on identity, race, and gender, linking historical movements to modern 'culture wars.' His current project, a cultural history of the 1960s, explores the roots of post-Trump/Brexit divisions.
