Professor John Stanley is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Sydney's Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS), part of the Sydney Business School. He holds a BCom Hons from Melbourne University, an MPhil from Stony Brook, and a PhD from the University of Portsmouth. His research focuses on transport policy, land use integration, and reducing social exclusion through transport initiatives. He has held roles as Executive Director of the Bus Association Victoria and Deputy Chairman of the National Road Transport Commission, and currently serves on multiple boards including Road Safety Inspections P/L.
