Dr. John Scott is a Professor of Economics at the Mike Cottrell College of Business, University of North Georgia, where he has served since 2006. Previously, he held roles as Associate Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Economic Education and Research at Southern Arkansas University (2002-2006), and as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (1989-2002).

Dr. Scott's research focuses on Economics Education, Healthcare Policy, and Academic Integrity. Recent publications examine topics like interactive learning tools, incentives influencing student conduct, and macroeconomic policy implications.
He serves as faculty advisor for the College Republicans and teaches ECON 2105: Principles of Macroeconomics. His institutional affiliations include the University of North Georgia, Southern Arkansas University, and University of Louisiana at Monroe.
