John R. Orens is a Professor specializing in European History at George Mason University's Department of History and Art History. His research centers on British intellectual history with emphasis on relationships between religious ideas and political movements.
He authored 'Stewart Headlam's Radical Anglicanism' (2003) and has contributed to numerous scholarly journals and edited collections on Anglican moral theology and radical religious thought. His doctoral degree was earned at Columbia University in 1976.
