John O'Donnell

John O'Donnell serves as an Associate Professor of Printmaking at the University of Connecticut. His artistic practice integrates traditional printmaking with new media, video, installation, and performance art to explore conceptual and formal tensions.

His research investigates:

• Artifice and media representation
• Nostalgia and awkward transitions
• Illusion, construction, and failure in visual form
• Experimental techniques in image-making

Seeking ambiguous resolutions through content-form interplay, O'Donnell's work has been exhibited internationally including the New Britain Museum of American Art, Museum of New Art (Detroit), Proof Gallery (Boston), and SOHO20 Gallery (New York). His prints feature at the Print Center (Philadelphia) and International Print Center (New York), while videos appear at Chelsea Art Museum and global film festivals across Boston, Los Angeles, Moscow, and Saint Petersburg.
