John Nickel is a Professor of Urology at Queen's University, affiliated with the Department of Urology within the Faculty of Health Sciences. His research focuses on inflammatory, infectious, and chronic pain conditions of the urinary tract, including benign prostatic hyperplasia. He directs clinical research clinics in urological chronic pain and urinary tract infections in Kingston, Canada.
With over 600 publications, he serves on the editorial boards of six urology journals and holds editorial roles for the AUA Update Series and Microbiome/Urologic Infections Section for Grand Rounds in Urology. He has been continuously funded by the NIH and Canadian CIHR for two decades.
