John N. Mecchella, DO, MPH, serves as Interim Chief Health Information Officer (CHIO) for Dartmouth Health since June 2025 and holds dual academic appointments as Associate Professor at The Dartmouth Institute and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth College. He has led Clinical Informatics and data governance initiatives at Dartmouth Health since 2017, initially joining Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in 2007 for clinical training.
