John McArdle is a full-time Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Salem State University. He also holds a Visiting Faculty appointment at the University of Calgary and has served as a Fulbright Scholar at University Isa Boletini Mitrovica in Kosovo. His work bridges regulatory policy, taxation, and innovative pedagogy.

McArdle's research examines how regulatory frameworks shape business strategy and social outcomes. He pioneered the Street Challenge and Place-Based Learning Network pedagogical frameworks, which have received over $85,000 in grant funding.
His recent publications explore regulatory impacts on nascent industries, cannabis taxation, and pedagogy innovation. McArdle has delivered 65+ peer-reviewed presentations across seven countries, with work appearing in journals like the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Public Policy and Journal of Taxation.
