John Martin Kolinski

John Martin Kolinski is a Lecturer at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the School of Engineering (STI) and the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IGM). He leads the Engineering Mechanics of Soft Interfaces (EMSI) laboratory.

• PhD in Applied Physics from Harvard University
• Post-doctoral research at Hebrew University of Jerusalem

His research focuses on interfacial mechanics in soft matter systems, with applications to droplet impact dynamics, fluid-structure interaction, and soft material instabilities. His work bridges experimental and theoretical approaches in applied physics and mechanical engineering.
