معرفی
John M. Kovac is Professor of Astronomy and Physics at Harvard University, specializing in observational cosmology through cosmic microwave background (CMB) studies. His research reveals signatures of primordial physics, structure formation, and cosmic expansion.
Kovac designs, deploys, and operates radio telescopes at the South Pole, including the Degree Angular Scale Interferometer (DASI) that first detected CMB polarization. He co-leads the BICEP/Keck Array program targeting inflationary B-mode signatures.
His teaching includes advanced astrophysics labs where undergraduates detect evidence for the Big Bang. Honors include Sloan Fellowship, NSF Career Award, and recognition for pioneering CMB polarization measurements.
