John Luiz

Prof John Luiz is a Professor of International Management and Strategy at the University of Sussex Business School, with a part-time role at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business. His research focuses on institutions, emerging markets, multinational enterprises, and strategic management. He has held leadership roles including Director of International Relations at GSB, Cape Town, and served as Executive Dean at the University of Johannesburg’s Faculty of Management. His work bridges academic rigor and practical impact, advising international organizations like the United Nations and African Development Bank.

He holds a Senior Global Fellowship at Central European University and an Honorary Research Fellowship at the Helen Suzman Foundation.
