John Liu

Dr. John Liu is Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery and Co-Director of the USC Spine Center at Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. Recognized as a pioneer in minimally invasive spine surgery, he leads research on spinal deformities, scoliosis, and spinal cord injuries.

Previously served as Vice Chair of Spine Services and Co-Medical Director at Cedars-Sinai, and Director of Spinal Surgery at Northwestern University. Clinical expertise covers complex spine disorders, aging spine, and hyperhidrosis treatment.

Develops innovative technologies for spinal conditions through multi-disciplinary collaborations, enhancing USC's position as a leading academic spine program on the West Coast.
