John Keith

John Keith is an Associate Professor and R.K. Mellon Faculty Fellow in Energy at the University of Pittsburgh, conducting computational research at the confluence of chemistry, applied physics, materials science, and engineering. His work integrates quantum chemistry, machine learning, and electrocatalysis to address energy conversion challenges.

Recent work demonstrates expertise in bond-order analysis, vibrational partition functions, and corrosion mechanisms in electrochemical systems.

His scientific contributions have been recognized through prestigious awards including the R.K. Mellon Faculty Fellowship in Energy and the Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship. The Pittsburgh Business Times named him to their Who's Who in Energy list for his impactful work in energy-related research.
