Dr. John Hart is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Sport and Physical Activity, Sheffield Hallam University. Specializing in Sports Engineering, he focuses on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), aerodynamics, and healthcare device innovation. His work bridges sports technology and engineering to improve athletic performance and healthcare outcomes. He teaches on the MSc Sports Engineering program and leads the Erasmus+ funded Alliance for Sports Engineering Education (A4SEE).
Education:
- MEng in Mechanical Engineering, University of Sheffield
- PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics (Supersonic Ejectors), University of Sheffield

- Aerodynamics of sports projectiles (e.g., badminton shuttlecocks)
