John H. Shannon is a Professor of Legal Studies at the Stillman School of Business, Seton Hall University. His research focuses on the intersection of law, business, and technology, emphasizing digital transformation's impact on societal and institutional frameworks. He previously served as Vice President for University Affairs and Dean of the Stillman School, leading initiatives like the Mobile Computing Initiative and establishing the School of Diplomacy and International Relations. Shannon has been recognized with the McQuaid Medal and Hakim Faculty Service Medal for his service to Seton Hall. His teaching includes courses on disruption, legal environments, and governance.
Shannon’s work promotes a FAIR (Flexible, Adaptable, Imaginative, Resilient) mindset to navigate technological change. He chairs the Buccino Leadership Institute’s 'Ideas & Trends' seminar, exploring digital innovation’s societal impacts. His community service includes nonprofit board roles and governance expertise.
