John Groninger is a Professor of Forestry at the School of Forestry, Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He serves as Acting Associate Dean and focuses on silvicultural and agroforestry approaches for watershed stabilization, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable land management across rural to urban landscapes. His work spans international agriculture, mined land reclamation, and temperate agroforestry systems.
