John F. Cogan is the Leonard and Shirley Ely Senior Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution and a former faculty member in the Public Policy Program (1994-2019). His research examines U.S. fiscal policy, federal entitlement programs, and healthcare reform. He holds a PhD in Economics from UCLA and an MA from California State University, Long Beach.
Cogan's research interests span:
