John F. Berdell is a full-time Professor in the Department of Economics at the Driehaus College of Business, DePaul University. He has taught at DePaul since 1991, offering courses in macroeconomics, the history of economic thought, and international trade.
- Education: PhD in Economics from Cambridge University (1992), MA in Economics from University of California (1986), BA in Economics from University of Rochester (1984)
His research focuses on the history of economics and international economics, with publications in journals such as the Economic Journal and International Trade Journal. Berdell has also authored the book "International Trade and Economic Growth in Open Economies: The Classical Dynamics of Hume, Smith, Ricardo and Malthus".
