Thomas D. Donley is a Professor in the Department of Economics at DePaul University's Driehaus College of Business. He has served in various administrative roles, including interim dean of the business college and Kellstadt Graduate School of Business (2020-2022), and as associate dean (2018-2020) overseeing international programs and graduate studies.

Donley specializes in applied microeconomics and econometrics, focusing on labor markets and wage inequality. His research explores the distribution of family income and primary drivers of income inequality in the U.S., with publications in journals like the Journal of Legal Economics and Journal of Consumer Affairs.
He received the Spirit of DePaul Award in 2015 and multiple teaching awards. Donley chaired the Department of Economics (2007-2016), established the Master of Science in Economics & Policy Analysis, and created a fellowship program in Washington, D.C. He also reformed faculty governance structures during his presidency (2004-2006) of the Faculty Council.
